Yoga Therapy Tools

Yoga Therapy provides a variety of tools to support an individualized wellness program, including:

  • Physical Postures (Asana) – Yoga-based movements of the body that specifically target areas of difficulty, weakness, tightness, pain, or imbalance. Movement therapies are adapted to the needs of the individual, and weekly practices are scripted for home use between sessions.
  • Restorative Yoga – Specific relaxation postures designed to remove stress and tension, and gently restore and rebuild health, often with the assistance of props.

  • Yoga Philosophy – A toolbox of philosophical “yoga lifestyle-based health models” that serve as a framework to realizing a more purposeful and peaceful way of living from the inside out.
  • Structural Yoga Therapy – A specialized style of Yoga Therapy that improves structural balance and integrity, and reduction of pain using assessment tools similar to physical therapy in conjunction with classic yoga/Ayurveda therapies.
  • Ayurveda (Life Wisdom) – A holistic sister science to yoga that provides nutritional and healthy lifestyle guidance to bring optimal balance to your unique makeup.
