Welcome to Women in the Woods

Women in the Woods is a new Awakening Joy for Women offering created by Beth with love and passion to re-connect women to their healthiest life in the midst of ongoing uncertainty and tribulation due to the pandemic.

It is more essential than ever before to root down, cultivate and grow a high-level, conscious lifestyle with healthy, wholesome routines and habits.

What better way to realize optimal body-mind-spirit health than with a group of women and a coach to help you along!

  • Meet, greet and create new friendships with cool women like YOU who are interested in living a life of unbound happiness, vitality, purpose and health. Deepen and grow these friendships month by month making your life rich with support, love and community.

  • Each month review and revise your Lifestyle, Exercise, Attitude, Rest/Relaxation and Nutrition goals. Feel and see actual results from month to month. As a Wellness Coach, Beth teaches the L.E.A.R.N. Method to health as a powerful transformational model to grow from.

  • At each retreat, walk in the woods as a method to re-connect to others, nature, your deepest well-being, your spirit, your purpose and your deepest passions and dreams.

  • During your walk in the woods experience, enjoy being guided by an energizing and easy, breath-inspired outdoor stretching/yoga experience among new friends, the sun, the sky, and the trees. Take in Beth’s nutrition, wellness and self-growth teachings while being supported by the gifts of nature, inspiring you to self reflect and awaken to your deepest potential from month to month.

  • Return “home” to Beth’s cozy Wellness Kitchen to learn new ways to meal prep, nourish yourself, and cook wisely for you and your family. Enjoy a simple and satisfying organic, plant-emphasized lunch based on the month’s wellness teachings. Food that will leave you not only fed but powerfully fueled.

Retreat Location, What to Bring on Retreat and Weather

  • The retreat location is near Fox Run Regional Park in the Black Forest area in Monument near Baptiste and Roller Coaster Road. Directions and address will be shared at time of registration.
  • Dress appropriately weather-wise. Bring sunscreen and a hat, an umbrella if the forecast presents rain. Bring a water bottle at all times. Bring a favorite journal to take notes and reflections in.
  • As a retreat leader, and during this unique time with Covid, it is essential that I keep everyone safe as during the retreat. If you have been vaccinated, you are welcome to register for the retreat. Masks are not required but feel free to bring one if you feel more comfortable. If you have been exposed to Covid, or have symptoms, please refrain from participating. A credit will be issued to join the retreat at a future date. Thank you for helping to keep everyone safe!
  • If weather is terribly bad, I will plan on the retreat being primarily indoors with an expanded self-care, intention-setting and Wellness Kitchen session. Even in poor weather, we will do our best to take to the woods for a brief, exhilarating experience, making our cozy indoor time all the more cozy!
    Dietary Restrictions and Food Allergies

Please call or email me if you have dietary restrictions or food allergies prior to registering for the retreat series. I’ll do my best to accommodate your needs and requests during the Wellness Kitchen portion of the retreat!

    Health Concerns and Movement Restrictions

Our walks in the woods range between 45 to 75 minutes with light stretching in a standing or seated position. Some of our walks will be on up and down paths. Please contact me if you have health concerns that might hinder your comfort or ability to walk this duration prior to registering for the retreat.

Thank you! I am looking so forward to Walking in the Woods with you.

To health, happiness, new friendships, and delicious, nutritious food!

When I am Among the Trees

When I am among the trees,
especially the willows and the honey locust,
equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,
they give off such hints of gladness.
I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,
in which I have goodness, and discernment,
and never hurry through the world
but walk slowly, and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their leaves
and call out, “Stay awhile.”
The light flows from their branches.

And they call again, “It’s simple,” they say,
“and you too have come
into the world to do this, to go easy, to be filled
with light, and to shine.”
